Can I stay signed in?
Select Keep me signed in below your password when signing in. After signing in, you can change it in Security settings. It is off by default. Saved browser sessions use browser storage; the installed app uses operating-system secure storage. Signing out clears the saved session. Server expiry, revoked access, or clearing device storage can still require another sign-in. Use this only on a device you trust.
Manage sign-in settings →How do I change my password?
Open Security settings from your account or Profile, then choose Change password. Enter your current password, a new password of at least 12 characters, and the new password again. If you forgot your current password or only use Google, use the reset-email option in that section. A verified reset link lets you choose a new password without knowing the old one. Never share passwords or reset links.
Open password controls →What is Knovent, and where should I start?
Knovent helps you understand investing and the economy, then practice explaining your decisions. Start with Stock Market Basics, read one lesson, and try its quiz. You can explore the lessons without an account.
Find your learning level →Which level should I choose?
Beginner explains the vocabulary and foundations. Intermediate introduces company reports and worked calculations. Advanced asks you to compare risks and defend your reasoning. These are learning levels, not professional qualifications. Move between them whenever useful.
Explore the academy →How do lesson quizzes and progress work?
Answer all three questions and submit to see your score and explanations. You can retry; your best score is kept. Quiz results record learning activity, not readiness to trade or a financial credential. Guest progress is device-local; account sync is optional in Profile.
Check your progress →Is this free, and can I trade here?
The current prototype is free to explore. Knovent does not place trades, hold money, connect brokerage accounts, or take subscription payments. Learning here does not guarantee income or investment returns.
Can Knovent tell me what to buy?
The material teaches concepts and research habits. It does not provide personalized recommendations. Examples can help you ask better questions, but they do not establish that an investment suits your circumstances.
Read the educational disclaimer →How do I use the research workspace?
Write a question or investment idea, record supporting evidence, and state what would change your mind. Add a review date, then save. Reopen a saved entry to revise it and compare earlier versions. Unsaved typing is not a saved research record. Guest entries stay on this device unless you explicitly import them into an account.
Open Research →How do the research links work?
Expand Explore real-world sources and choose a source. Its purpose and Look for question explain what to investigate. The website opens a separate tab; the native app opens your browser. Search and read there, then return and record the source URL, date, and relevant facts in Supporting evidence. Opening a link does not save your journal, import prices, or analyze the page. External sites need internet and have their own terms and privacy policies.
Explore research sources →What should I write as evidence?
Separate a fact from your interpretation. For example: a fictional company's sales increased while operating cash flow fell. Record the report URL, reporting period, and the figures you checked; then ask why the two moved differently. State an observation that would challenge your initial view. A claim repeated online is not independent verification.
Try the fictional worked example →How do applied practice cases work?
Choose a fictional case, work through the questions, and write your reasoning before reviewing the explanations. No AI grades your writing. Reflections are not saved. Copy useful notes into Research before leaving or switching cases.
Try applied practice →What is the market time machine for?
Read the case using only the information available at its stated historical date. Choose a research approach and save your reasoning before revealing the later context. Revisit what you missed and what you would investigate next. This helps you practice reasoning without hindsight. It is not a trading simulator or a return forecast.
Try the time machine →How do I find a financial term?
Open the glossary, type a word or part of its meaning, and optionally choose a category. If nothing appears, clear the category or try a shorter word. The glossary explains terms; it does not select products for you.
Search the glossary →Are the market figures and economic calendar live?
No. Cards and calendar entries labeled SAMPLE DATA are fictional teaching examples, not current prices or release schedules. External official sources let you investigate real releases separately; their information is not imported into Knovent. Always check a source's reporting date and units.
Explore Markets →Will earnings alerts send an email or notification?
Not yet. The current earnings tool saves device-local preferences for fictional companies and shows example notifications. It does not schedule or deliver alerts. Creating an account or enabling account sync does not turn these alerts into a live service.
See the earnings demo →Is the tutor real AI?
No. Every tutor response is a prewritten DEMO. Use the example questions to explore how an educational conversation might feel. It cannot read your research, assess your finances, or analyze linked pages. Do not enter private financial information.
Explore the demo tutor →How do I know I am signed in?
Look for your account name or email in the account badge and open Profile for account status. Each browser or device needs its own sign-in. A Google account session alone does not mean you are signed into Knovent. Native Google sign-in currently opens the website; native session handoff is unfinished.
Check account status →How do I carry progress and notes between devices?
Sign in to the same Knovent account on both devices. In Profile, enable account sync on each device and check its status after saving. Lesson scores, saved research records, and saved time-machine reasoning can sync. Unsaved drafts, profile photos, display preferences, and demo earnings preferences do not sync. Signing in by itself does not enable sync.
Manage account sync →What happens to work I did before signing in?
Guest work stays separate from your account. Use Profile to import your guest work into your account. Import only work that belongs to you, especially on shared devices. Guest originals stay on the device until you clear them separately. Deleting an account does not remove them.
Review import and export options →What if sync reports a conflict or pending changes?
Keep the device with your latest work available and read the status in Profile. Export a backup before choosing a conflict resolution. Do not clear browser storage or repeatedly import work to fix a conflict. Offline changes need internet to reach your account; a local save is not proof of a successful cloud sync.
Review sync status →Can I change my picture, name, and reading settings?
Profile contains personalization and reading settings. Your selected picture and reading preferences stay on this device for the current account. Display-name changes require a connected account. Knovent does not automatically fetch your Google profile picture.
Open profile settings →How do I reset a password?
On Sign in, choose Forgot password and follow the newest email you receive. Google users can continue using Google sign-in. Check your inbox and spam folder. Delivery can be delayed; avoid repeated requests and use the newest link. Never share an emailed sign-in or reset link.
Open Sign in →How do I delete my account or export my work?
Use Profile to export your learning data or request account deletion. Read the confirmation carefully: deletion removes the account and its synced learning data. Exported files, guest work, and copies on other devices are separate; remove those separately if needed. Clearing lesson scores alone does not delete the account.
Manage your data →Can I use Knovent without internet?
Open Offline access while online, choose Save lessons for offline use, and wait for Ready offline. This stores public lessons and tools inside that browser; it does not create PDFs or files in your Downloads folder. Saved content can work offline, subject to browser storage availability. Account sign-in, sync, and external research pages need internet. A browser may remove stored downloads; reopening a signed-in record may require online account verification.
Manage offline downloads →Why is progress missing in another browser?
Guest work belongs to its original browser/device. Private browsing and clearing storage can remove local data. For account work, check that you used the same account, enabled sync on both devices, and saw a successful sync status. Export important work before clearing anything.
Check progress and sync →How do I get the latest version?
When online, reload the website. If you downloaded an older offline version, check Offline access for its update options. The website and mobile preview share learning content, but downloads and sign-in sessions are managed separately on each device.
Check offline access →Where can I report a problem or contact support?
Tester feedback lets you prepare a report to copy or export; it is not automatically sent to Knovent. A public support contact has not been added to this preview. Include the page name, device/browser, and steps to reproduce a problem. Leave out passwords, account tokens, and private financial details.
